Giving Hearts Day | 2026

This year, we will continue to raise money to further the work to improve our buildings! One of these projects will be repaving our sidewalks surrounding the Church, House of Hope, and Big House. With all the foot traffic leading to our doors, these walkways have become a tripping hazard and a barrier to accessing our 3 properties.

We are also hoping to accomplish a few other projects such as removing the back porch on the Big House (a current safety violation), landscaping around the church property to create a system for proper drainage and finishing the remaining electrical work in the basement of the church!

Finally, we will be raising money to replace the tables and chairs in the basement of our church to use for various activities, meetings and meals.

We do a lot of traveling to various facilities in the city and state, and we are hoping to raise money to put towards our outreach ministry to continue our work! Funds raised for outreach will go towards covering mileage from place to place, the cost of materials and resources we bring to each facility and to help staff these positions.

Over the past year, Lighthouse has been exploring the possibility of offering supportive recovery housing and recovery supports for residents that would utilize the current meetings and programs offered within the Lighthouse recovery community.  We are intending to begin moving forward this coming year. Start up costs will be used in the initial stages of project development and possible acquisition of a suitable property. 

We are also raising money for our Kids, Youth and Family! We plan to raise money to put towards our Family Connect Events throughout the year and Bible Camp scholarships to provide an opportunity for our kids to attend summer camp! At Lighthouse, there are several under resourced families that won't have the chance to send their children to camp without financial assistance.
