The Beacon of Light House was established due to the needs and barriers in the area. With the blessing of Lighthouse Church of Fargo, The Beacon branched off to focus on care coordination and other coordination services.
The values, morals, spiritual foundation, and dedicated work ethic that people have come to expect from Lighthouse have been carried over to the Beacon. Many of The Beacon’s Care Coordinators not only have the expertise in providing exceptional coordination but have had struggles in their past that they have had to overcome to get to where they are now. For that reason, we have a heart to serve.
The Beacon accepts everyone for who they are, with no judgment. We are here to aid you in finding the resources and support to help you build the solid foundation and life you want. Walking into the Beacon, you will see why we are set apart from the rest. We designed this organization with you in mind. It is a home-like environment, and everyone that works at The Beacon is dedicated to your success and well-being. You are not alone, and we are here to help.
One of the main programs we work with is the North Dakota Medicaid 1915(i) State Plan Amendment program. This program allows North Dakota Medicaid to pay for additional home and community-based services to support individuals to remain or transition to living a full life independently while managing a behavioral health condition.
What this means for individuals that choose the Beacon of Light House for Care Coordination services is that we will create a person-centered care plan that encompasses what YOU want to achieve. If it is figuring out housing, transportation, mental health care, getting plugged into the community, learning new skills and tools to aid in communication, self-care, overcoming physical disabilities, or learning limitations.
Beacon staff are here to help you with all of this and more.
